SALT & LIGHT

Salt & Light is dedicated to providing counselling and therapeutic support to individuals facing trauma and difficult life circumstances—especially in communities where access to affordable mental health care is limited or non-existent. We believe that emotional healing is not a luxury, but a necessity, and we strive to make these services accessible to those who need them most.

A key focus of our work is supporting children who have been removed from their homes due to unsafe or unstable environments. These children often carry deep emotional wounds, and without the right support, they are at risk of repeating harmful cycles—ending up on the streets, in unhealthy environments, or without a sense of direction. Through consistent counselling and care, we aim to help them process their experiences, rebuild their sense of self-worth, and develop a more positive outlook on life. Our goal is to equip them with the tools they need to create a better, more stable future.

We also place strong emphasis on family restoration and bonding. By working with families, we aim to address the root causes of conflict and instability, helping to rebuild relationships and create healthier home environments. Strengthening families not only promotes healing but also reduces the likelihood of children being placed in foster care.

At the heart of Salt & Light is a preventative approach. Rather than only responding once situations have escalated, we aim to intervene early—offering support, guidance, and care before challenges grow into crises. We walk alongside individuals and families during their most difficult seasons, providing a safe space for healing and growth.
